Can the threshold become the conectivity tissue? This architectural installation across the line of Patras city port challenges us to pass the line between the urban and the water bodies in three acts:
I. the stripping away of the urbanity from the body through the removal of clothing
II. the passing through the water wall as a medium of cleansing
III. the use of the towel as the main object of usage in the final stage
“Orio” acts as an allegorical and actual wall-passage between the city grid and the sea and vice versa, adressing the city’s harsh barriers to it’s charachteristic seafront along the linear coastline.
